Snapchat advertising is currently one of the fastest growing social media platforms and is very popular among millennia. In fact, on any given day, Snapchat reaches 41% of all people in the UAE between the ages of 18 and 34. If these consumers are part of your target market, you may want to consider advertising on Snapchat.
There are six different ways to advertise on Snapchat today. Part of these options will be reserved for large companies and media conglomerates due to price. However, there are some opportunities for young people like you and me.
1. Sponsored Lens
An augmented reality graphic that can be pinned around using a person's face or an animation that can be started when a person raises eyebrows, smiles or wrinkles in a kiss.
Availability: It can only be purchased directly from the Snapchat sales team.
Add-ons: Advertisers can create more 360-degree effects by attaching global lenses to their lens ads so people can enhance their surroundings with the phone's rear camera. Similar to the front advertising lens, the world lens animation can be activated when someone clicks on their phone screen or points the camera at a magnified object.
2. Geo Filtered Sponsored
Image overlays can give people space for photos and videos that they share privately in messages with friends or usually in the form of messages attached to their stories.
Availability: It can be purchased directly from the Snapchat sales team or through the advertising API.
Extensions: Advertisers who purchase direct sponsored geofilter campaigns from the Snapchat sales team can add a smart geofilter to tailor their ad layout to specific locations, such as individual cities, airports, traditional stores, or restaurants.
3. Snap ad
Vertical videos, up to 10 seconds long and appearing in original Snapchat presentations, organize our stories and publishers' stories from media companies and between the stories that people usually post.
Availability: It can be purchased directly from the Snapchat sales team through the Advertising API or Snapchat Ad Manager, although some features are not available for ads purchased through self-service tools.
Add-ons: Snap ads can display four types of attachments that people can scroll to see.
Articles: Snap Ads can add an ad that must include at least one image, video, or GIF, but only if the ad appears on Snapchat or a publication story. Snapchat is not available through Ad Manager.
Installing the app: Snap Ads can be found on the Apple or Google App Store installation page. Snapchat is available through Ad Manager.
Long video: Snap ads can play longer versions of videos. Snapchat is available through Ad Manager.
Web view: Snap ads can open on mobile web pages, such as an e-commerce site or Google AMP. Snapchat is available through Ad Manager
4. Ad Targeting
With SnapChat data: Snapchat offers four categories of ad targeting that target audience data. All are available for ads purchased through the Snapchat sales team, the advertising API, and Snapchat Ad Manager.
Location: Country, state, region or specific market area. Availability: The geofilter can be used for ads and snapshot ads.
Device: Mobile operating system, Wireless carrier, Connection type (WiFi or mobile)
Availability: Snap can be used for ads.
Snap lifestyle categories: Viewer groups such as "adventure seekers", "beauty gurus" and "employers make up" are grouped based on discovery channels and people's stories. Availability: Can be used for sponsored lenses and snap ads
